We've been going on about thermal scopes recently - but what about monoculars? They work the same, but they have a distinctly different job.

Monoculars are small and portable and their main use is to detect and identify potential targets. (And just as important - identifying what NOT to shoot at!) Like scopes, there are plenty of options to choose from, depending on terrain, distance and target species.

They complement thermal rifle scopes very well, but are handy on their own too. And they're a great place to start if you're new to thermals.

Here's a few I recommend.
A great, compact, entry-level device which punches above its weight.
  • F0.9 large aperture lens receives 20%  more light that a standard F1.0 - giving brighter, clearer images

  • multiple colour palettes, including red and green to prevent eye fatigue

  • detects up to 670 metres

Your ultimate detection device, this monocular spots targets up to 2,300 metres away.
  • 1024x768 sensor and an F50 / 1.0 lens for clear images even at distance
  • 14x10.5 field of view for easy scanning of large areas

  • 3.5-14x magnification

HIKMICRO Condor CQ35L 2.0

This little beauty is an upgrade of the original Condor CQ35L, which is still available at the lower price point of $2,999.00.
Why spend more on the 2.0? Because you get:
  • improved sensitivity, with a NETD of <15mK vs the original's <20mK

  • a larger OLED display (1920x1080) to reduce eye fatigue

  • a rear focus adjustment wheel instead of a front lens focus ring - so you'll never have to use two hands

And if none of those appeal, there's plenty more in stock!
