850nm vs 940nm

850nm (this model): Higher output, longer range, sharper image. Faint red glow up close — invisible at hunting distances. Best for maximum range and image performance.

940nm (sold separately): Completely invisible at all distances. Shorter effective range and softer image. Best when zero visible glow is required.

For most Australian hunting — pigs, deer, and feral animals — 850nm is the recommended choice.
